Spoken like a truly uneducated enthusiast.  The Jaguar XJ rates VERY well in comparisons and the Portfolio was raved about by the buff books. For the last 11 years, Jaguar's problems have been more about the reputation than the car. See above for explanation.  <br><br>I haven't driven the S-Type but I might buy one since the resale puts it close to my reach. On the contrary, Ford saved Jaguar. If it weren't for Ford, the cat would have been for a while now. <br><br>Now the styling on some of the new Jags, the new 2007 XK, which is a nice package, (sans the '97 Ford Taurus SHO lower facia) delivered an impressive review from C/D.
