UPDATE: BMW recall extends beyond China
Contrary to what we reported in an earlier post, BMW's most recent recall has not been confined to China, but includes 46,000 5-, 6-, and 7-Series models built between January 9th and April 18th of this year and sold throughout the world. The problem apparently involves defective rubber bushings in the rear shocks that could loosen and lead to handling problems and loss of vehicle control. BMW blames its supplier for the issue that was caught before anyone was injured as a result, but the recall will cost the German automaker an estimated 16 million euro.

Imagine that, a non-American company with recalls. Now what will you American car bashers and union bashers do?

All things in the automotive are even.
I want to see the day when the American company`s are treated fairly by the press.
Its easy to bash things you have had the most experience with. If Toyota`s and Honda`s were mainstream cars 20 years ago guess who would be getting bashed most today.

Uh, Jack, German unions are even stronger and more powerful than American unions, so the union bashers are helped by BMW, MB, and VW recalls.

Difference Between German/ Japanese and American Auto manufacturers is that while the first two initiate recalls once the problem is noticed regardless of costs and with customer safety as priority, The American manufacturers have a record of doing Absolutely Nothing with the full knowledge that fatalities will be inevitable, only when the press going public with the story or a civil suit is imminent are actions to plan recalls even initiated.
(Dont be fooled by the UK-KID name, I have lived in america for 6 years now so i know what i am talking about) If you need examples please let me know and ill be happy to provide them.
