Ford of Canada already offering employee pricing

Thanks to a tip from Bill we've learned that Ford of Canada has already kicked off its summer incentive drive by offering employee pricing to all Canadians. Called Ford Family Pricing, the program began on June 16th and will run through August 31st. The vehicles not included are the standard fare like the Mustang Shelby GT500 and Ford GT, along with newer models like the Edge and Lincoln MKX. What kind of discount can Canadians expect? A 2006 Ford Focus ZX5 SES with an MSRP of $23,099 (all prices Canadian) can be had for the Ford Family Price of $21,123 and get another $3,000 off in additional incentives, making the final price $18,123.
Ford is currently running its Model Year Clearance in the U.S. with 0-percent financing on most vehicles and up to $1,000 in gas, E85 or diesel fuel for the year.

I laughed out loud at the tagline for this campaign.
"You Get The Best Prices Of The Year. Asterisk, err, I mean, Period."
Ford must be feeling pretty sheepish about denying Americans the redesigned Focus sold overseas. Somehow, I don't think we'd be seeing $3,000-$5,000 slashed off MSRP to move the things off lots.

Chryler also had its "Employee Pricing" going as well. The Grand Caravan has something like $9600 is rebates on it.
