I drove both and... Definitely the Ultima GTR. :-) More luggage space despite being faster than the Veyron, and has AirConditioning, GPS, and a stereo...all I need for "street comforts". If you need more, then I think you're missing the purpose of both the Ultima and Veyron: Although different from one another in many ways, the goal they share is "street-legal speed". It's like comparing a courtesan who charges less, to an AIDS-ridden streetwalker who charges you 10 times more! ;-)

JJ

Comments on

Hot Damn!

Richard Warren

Comments on

#2, the extra second may be as a result of the driver (time for the driver to see and process that he is at 100mph and get on the brake). When you've got 1,000 ponies, you can keep the tires at the edge of traction much longer than the competition. But braking is an engine equalizer.

I guess the Altima guy missed the point that the Veyron is still a no compromise luxury car (and work of art). No matter what one does to an Altima, it's still going to be a modified Altima regardless of how impressive it becomes, or the skill of the builder. This reminds me of my redneck friends who claim that their Camaros or 'stangs are superior to option X, Y, or Z, simply because they've dumped all their money in achieving low 1/4 mile times. If that's all you judge a car by, so be it...

DriftPunch

Comments on

All the Veyron proves is that "He who spends the most money wins." as the old drag racing adage goes. With enough money you can make anything fast, anything corner harder, etc etc. This car is a showoff of like 5 years of engineering and design on VW part. Good job cult of VW. This car would be more impressive if it had not been delayed 2 or 3 different times.

When it comes down to it you will see fewer Ultimas on the road then Veyrons. (unless your go to an ultima carshow or something). The Ultima will be way cheaper to fix, and you will be able to service it at more places. The Ultima is still faster 0-100-0 then the Veyron, and give the Ultima 1000 hp and it will get the Veyron more then it does already.

If you want to begin comparing women and cars, jessica alba, you just start out in the wrong. When it comes down to it, you want a girl who can be hot naturally but who is understated and low maintanence. A girl who is fast and can thrill, and will always be a thrill. The Ultima is that women.

You most remember and this is important, Jessica Alba is just a women. At the end of the day she still has a period and will get mad, and yell, all the things that your current women does(if you have a woman).
