During a preview of the 2007 Chrysler line-up this morning, Tom LaSorda announced that the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica would be powered by an all-new 4.0L V6 producing 255 horsepower and 265 ft-lbs. of torque. It will be mated to a new six-speed auto transmission that replaces the current model's frustrating 4-speed auto. It will be the most powerful naturally aspirated V6 in the Chrysler line-up and will surely find its way into other models. This would be a great base engine for the LX family of sedans including the Chrysler 300C, Dodge Charger and Magnum, as well as a decent powerplant for the company's next generation of minivans.
