Chicago Fire to play at Toyota Park
In the midst of the fervor over the World Cup, Toyota has high hopes for soccer in Chicagoland, where it has bought the naming rights for the Chicago Fire's home stadium for the next 10 years. Toyota Park, as the $95 million stadium is to be called, will help Toyota and its dealers in Chicago gain visibility. Toyota is currently the number two brand in the area (behind Chevrolet).
Toyota Park, which is located at Harlem and 71st in Bridgeview, will host the home games of the Chicago Fire, as well as serve as the venue for concerts and other events. The Fire plays its first game there today.

How is this an insult? This was known weeks ago that a deal was in the works. It brings some money to run the stadium and should reduce the burden on the local taxpayer. I'm sure if Ford or GM wanted to buy the naming rights and offered enough money, the village would have sold them the rights.

Not as bad as re-naming Comisky to "US Cellular Field".

We live across from the stadium on 71st street in Bridgeview. We have lived there for 50 years. Our house was burglurized this past week. We have never been burglurized in the 50 years my family has lived here. Now that the soccer stadium is here we get burglurized. If anyone has seen anything or know of anything in connection with this burglury will you please email me and let me know. I would really appreciate it. I want this person caught. I live on social sccurity disability and cannot afford to replace the expensive equipment he stole.
