Funk rocker/car buff Jay Kay provides the soundtrack for 6/6/(0)6
Most of you are as likely to remember Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay for his choice of headgear than you are for his Stevie Wonder-esque falsettos and funky pre-Maroon 5 err... Maroon 5. We imagine that's alright by Jay, because he and his mates have met with considerably more success overseas after the whole 'Virtual Insanity' bubble burst Stateside.
Need proof? He of the large lids has gained the financial wherewithal to become a well-regarded exotic car buff, with a stable full of Ferraris, including an F40, F50, and an Enzo in his past. Of course, he also picked up the Audi RS4 seen above, perfect for hauling the band's gear and evading the paparazzi.
Better still, the haberdasher-frequenting Brit has also penned an automobile-inspired song appropriate for today's landmark calendar entry, Black Devil Car. It's a catchy little ditty with a chorus that goes...

I think the 06/06/06 in the article title is referring to the song title of "Black Devil Car". Regardless, I agree that it must be a slow day in Automotive news.

jamiroquai were huge across the pond pre-virtual insanity video. JK's been a car buff for a long time. In fact check the into on the track "traveling without moving" to hear him flog one of his babies.
I understand he is banned from driving in several countries in europe.

Jay Kay is and has been one of my heroes for awhile. Great music and a great sports car collection.
It seems like if you want a chance of being rich with an awesome car collection, it helps to be named Jay. Kay and Leno are two Jays on the list of people that I really envy.

He gave a demo on it when he was featured on Fifth Gear, Car show that tries to rival top gear.

Black Devil Car is indeed about Jay's Black Ferrari Enzo. He's said as much before the song when I saw them in Vegas last year.
