Reigning Nextel Cup champ Tony Stewart hit the hospital again Sunday for the second day in a row, after crashing on lap 33 of the Coca-Cola 600 in North Carolina. He emerged from his car with the help of several safety personnel, favoring his right side. Stewart was released from the hospital after two hours; but word is that he has a broken the tip of his right shoulder blade.
On Saturday, Stewart took a hit in the shoulder in a tough crash in the Busch Series race, but emerged from the hospital after his x-rays came back negative.

Joking aside! The fact he was even able to walk away from such an accident illustrates how safe the modern race car really is.
This shouldn't be taken for granted.
