I find this interesting, the original "Jeep" was either the Ford GPW or Willys-Overland MB. Willy-Overland became Willys Motor Company, which became Kaiser-Jeep Corporation, which became American Motors Corporation, which became Chrysler Corporation, which is now currently DaimlerChrysler AG. "Jeep" didn't exist as a trademark until post WW2 when Willys got it because everybody was calling their (and ford's) vehicle a Jeep.
In reference to a WW2 game Jeep was not around, it was a nickname. Seems strange, in the context, that one would need to license Jeep since if used in WW2 it could only be a nick name and not a reference to a trademark. Other than the character Eugene the Jeep where the nick name came from which is probably copyright..
