Fiat debuts Ducato "Truckster" concept

Fiat's Light Commercial Vehicles Division is showing off its brand new Ducato at the Madrid Motor Show today, and to celebrate the launch of the new version the Fiat Style Center has created the "Truckster" show van.
With a style described as "modern and exuberant," the Truckster would certainly stand out in a crowd of tuner vehicles, if only because of its size - over 21 feet in length and 8+ feet high, the winged Truckster is not a vehicle for introverts.
The concept of "sporting performance applied to a commercial vehicle" is manifest in the huge rear-mounted biplane wing, the side pipes, and those must-have sponsor decals adorning the rear quarter. Other features include hydraulic gullwing doors, LED headlights, and a sporty interior treatment. The Truckster rolls on massive 28-inch wheels.
We'll see if we can get our hard-working Madrid Auto Show team to grab some live shots - in the meantime, enjoy the designers' sketches after the jump.

Ok, I normally refrain from damning criticism when it comes to other people's style but this is utterly revolting. And I'm someone who actually likes the way the Multipla looks... Fiat, I damn thee to hell.

If it had a sunroof and heated seats I'm sure my wife would like it, like she does everything else with such.

Minus the rear wing, I see promise in this design. Add a little more utility to the bed, and lose the ever-gawdy asian tuner-inspired bolt-ons, and you might have something. The more subtle sketches look better, IMHO.

it would be perfect for "fast and furious 4: pimp truck racer"

If it weren't for the sketches, and the REALLY ugly wheels on this thing (What is it about car companies? So often "mag" wheels on concept and production cars look like very cheap wheel covers.) I would have thought this was a clumsy photoshop pic.
I don't know about F and F 4, but how about Quick and Ugly: Part 13 (Racing the shop truck)?

Those headlights will shine in the back window of the vehicle in front of it, and in the eyes of on-coming traffic. Call Ralph Nader!

This truck looks like it would be a beast to handle for traction with no weight over the rear-end. Not to sure if I really like the look either!
