Fiat rolls out mobile phones
Forget fleeces, backpacks and skiwear -- Fiat wants its name on the ultimate fashion accessory, the moblie phone. Starting this month, Fiat will offer a number of different cell phone models, including some that are MP3 compatible and take digital photos and video. Some of the phones are even 'waterproof' -- perfect for those who can't bear to catch a wave or two without phone access. The aluminum and blue finish boasts a high-tech look, while still drawing upon the ages-old Fiat logo, and the packaging draws upon the automaker's heritage as well -- the phone's sales packaging is a plastic tube designed to mimic the look of an an engine piston.

I really could care less about this, but I can't let it pass without saying " can they make the FIAT name on the 'phone any BIGGER? " It looks more like Fiat justs wants to put handheld "billboards" into as many hands as possible. Is there any other brand of 'phone with a logo on it as big as the one on the phone in this picture? If it was a pair of...say Levi's, the logo would take up all of your butt.

Yeah the logo size is a bit over the top. But it is blatant promotional 'lifestyle' merch. If you chose to, you could live about 90% of your life with Harley logo merchandise - and just like wrasslin' on wheels, errr, NASCAR, there are those who will.
As long as the electronics are the high grade Magneti Marelli, and not the automotive grade...
