Key General Motors advisor Stephen Girsky is parting ways with the company after less than one year. Word from the company is that travel between Detroit and his home and family in New York were too difficult. Girsky will leave the company at the beginning of next month, and look for a job closer to home.

The former Morgan Stanley analyst reportedly leaves the automaker feeling that the General's turnaround is on-track, and GM spokeswoman Toni Simonetti has said that Girksy was a pivotal force in the nascent turnaround.

Then, of course, we have Mal Fuller (of crap than most) types. Still doing the Mal practice of dumb remarks.

This is a bad blog to GM. Well GM is not doing too well these days anyway. The General Motors saw a decline in their sales in April. In April The General Motors observed a 7% decline (http://asianbiz.blogspot.com/2006/05/ford-gm-are-losing-market-to-honda.html) in their sales.
So, GM people will hope that this departure of Stephen Girsky will not make matter worse.

      Good Luck, Mr. Girsky

Yeah, I'm sure it has nothing to do with the billions of dollars being hemorraged or anything.

I attended one of his presentation. I gotta tell you that he was not too convincing. The only thing he kept on repeating on GM were old clich├ęs, blanket statements without any strong basis. He was as useful as the very many executives at GM he bashed for so long. Easy to speak your mind on GM when you are outside . Much tougher to make things happen fron the inside.

Girsky is a loud mouth schnook that does only one thing; agitate his lips, nothing else.
