As you can see the Volvo S60 is going to be spruced up for the 2007 model year with a new front end that includes a deeper lip spoiler, new grille and larger Volvo iron symbol. The side mirrors feature integrated turn signals now and the headlights are Active Bi-Xenons able to be turned up to 15 degrees in either direction.

Many interior trim pieces have also been dipped in metal to brighten up the S60’s insides and the watch-like instruments found in the S60R and new S80 are now an option.

Though no powertrain enhancements were rolled out, Volvo did spend a lot of time on the S60’s chassis adding firmer shocks and springs front and rear while beefing up the anti-roll bars. All told the car’s torsional rigidity is up some 25 percent.

Stop spamming the board. Your reviews are dull, uninteresting, and poorly written.

Don't worry Steve, the s60 will most likely be gone completely by 2008 - 2009 tops.

I am a big fan of mesh wheels, but for some reason I don't like the ones on the S60.

". Looks like Volvo remains a half-step behind the times. Metal trim is on the way out, and where's the big ass truckworthy grille that every luxury sedan is supposed to have these days?"

Do you read any of the articles or even really learn about any of the cars? It seems like you just post as soon as you can to promote your own rantings.

The metal trim is optional. Just as it has been for some time. This is just a new design. Even the earliest S60s had optional trim (either fake wood or other). In '05 they updated it and gave a metalic choice to non- R models along with real wood.

Looks like Volvo remains a half-step behind the times. Metal trim is on the way out, and where's the big ass truckworthy grille that every luxury sedan is supposed to have these days?

But the main bit that needs fixing is the steering and suspension. My review of the current car:

Karesh sounds like a GM hack. Probably hoping to see an all plastic car with a Hummer grill. He can find that at Toys R Us. The main bit that needs fixing is the content of his reviews - he should have the Copy and Paste options removed from his PC.

I thought I read somewhere that Volvo was thinking of dropping the S60? I guess this "freshening" is supposed to carry the model to it's conclusion.

I could have predicted this! I JUST lease a 2006 S60. This always happens to me !!

Wow, looks like a mini Crown Vic... UGLY.

The refresh seems to give it a more round look. I liked the distinguishing lines of the newest Volvos, but I feel like they're losing that edge to try to blend in with everyone else.

      I still love the S60R. Turbo 5-cyl powah. ;D

I second those comments G. Snyder.

This Karesh guy only seems to post so that he can promote his circa 1999 website. Have any of you actually read any of his "reviews?" It's like he heads on over to Edmunds and rips everything they've said. Frankly, I see no difference from this guy's stuff and the Nigerian scams I get in my email: both crap.

Why is this spam tolerated on this site? isn't there a no commercial posting policy?

      From the Swedespeed article:

"The door mirrors feature integrated side indicators. At the same time, a practical new indicator function is being introduced: Press lightly on the lever and the indicator flashes three times."

The S40 has this and it looks like the S80 will too. And the new front end seems to be inspired by the S40 and subsequently the S80 as well.

So minor changes without a totally new design to match the S40/80. Maybe they are going to kill off the S60.
