Tiger Woods set to roll around in the dirt with Kiwis
Tiger Woods is used to long, commanding drives-- in fact, one could say he's made a habit of them. But the PGA's biggest star is set to trade in his golf clubs for a dirt oval stock car -- and in New Zealand, of all places.
The Buick spokesman will dice it up with other celebrities (including professional racers and his own caddy, in a 12-lap charity race where bumping and grinding is apparently the order of the day.
Tiger will suit up and strap in next Monday at Huntly Placemakers Speedway, and the race will raise money for the Steve Williams Foundation, an organization that helps give impoverished youth the opportunity to pursue their sporting joneses.

Tiger also announced today he was taking time off. I hope his dad feels better.

Huntly NZ, 8,000 people, try less than half that and its much closer to Hamilton than Auckland.
A reminder, Tiger's long time caddy is from NZ hence the connection.
NZ ers are a very active lot of people interested in all types of activities and for their 4 Million population take a signifcant impact on world sport
Look at Americas Cup, world rugby standings, Indy car racing, Scott Dixon, McLaren racing started by Bruce Mclaren, first man on Everest, Sir Edmond Hilary, and NZ has just qualifield for the World Cup in Hockey in China to be held later this year in Germany ( not ice hockey)
Buicks have not been sold in NZ since before WWII
Holden, a Buick like GM car made in Ausralia is often the largest seller year after year.
This has been written by a Canadian in Vancouver,BC who has visited NZ a number of times and lived in Germany for a 3 yr period and travelled quite a bit,
