If you're looking for some high-resolution photos of the upcoming Pontiac Solstice GXP, we've got you covered. We caught the screaming yellow roadster on display in New York and snapped a few shots for your enjoyment. If you're interested in the 260 HP turbo Ecotec that resides under the hood, stay tuned, as we'll be taking a deep dive into the direct-injection lump in a upcoming post.

We've got more photos after the jump, and click on any of the thumbnails to get the larger version.

The mx-5 miata has a 6 speed manual, 6 speed automatic, and whenever they get around to it, a turbocharged engine-see mazdaspeed-ed mazda6, mazda3.

Simple - Beautiful, handles great and easy on the eyes. This car = smooth, Saturn Sky = sharp, both good, my vote - Pontiac

I get the same feeling about this car that I did about the first mustang, I was 18 and could only afford to look. Too many cars today look exactly alike and have no personality, but not this baby. This little gem screams drive me, and I just might do that. Look out Boo-lee-vard here I come, step aside fella's give me some space..

Awesome! It's like a Miata only cool and without the projectile launching steering wheel. Sign me up.

Very cool..........Miata has nothing on the Solstice. From the base car to the GXP. Good Job Pontiac.

This car is sooo tempting, and I too am eagerly awaiting the new Mazdaspeed MX-5. I currently have a 2nd gen Miata, and for me the biggest drawback to the Solstice/Sky is the fact that there is pretty much no way to raise or lower the top without getting out of the car. Living in south FL, sudden rain is a part of life. Not only has Mazda simplified their new top, but they've set it up so that top down leaves the weather side up: no need for a tonneau. Both GM's are seriously hot though, I wouldn't kick either one out of my garage. The new MX-5 looks so much better in person than in pictures, but I have to say, the GMs still win in the looks department. I haven't even heard any good rumours on what Mazdaspeed is planning, but I think it would need at least 240 horses to steer me away from a GXP or a Redline.

I loved this styling till my wife saw one yesterday and when I asked her if she liked it she said well it looks like a cartoon. Ruined it for me.

      The Solstice rocks.
It's the coolest looking car out there. And affordable as well.
It handles great as well, and I love the look of the 18" wheels.
Of coures, if you want a ladies car, you can always buy a Miata.

Need high resolution images for Solstice saved at 300dpi for a sign. The enlarged image is not big enouf. Any idea who can give me the 300dpi image? The photographer?

I have own a few Miata since the second year on the Market...I am due for a change..and I don't like the newest Miata. When I saw the Solstice, it was love at first sight...I can't wait for that 2007 Yellow one with the turbo charge to be out!
