GM's HUMMER stars in new video game

We all know that many real-world HUMMER owners will never see any serious off-roading time, but now they can at least enjoy a little virtual four-wheelin' courtesy of the new HUMMER Badlands video game.
Console drivers can experience "the ultimate off-road, mud sliding, log climbing, rock crossing HUMMER battle" with their choice of 19 different HUMMER models, including the H1, H2, H3 and H3T concept.
But wait, there's more! Players can customize their rides with wheels, roof lights and brush guards. And best of all, they can drive as much as they want without worrying about the price of gasoline for that big SUV.
Available now for XBox and Playstation. Check out the game site here for more info.

Who wants to bet the top of the line unlockable vehicle is a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon? I may be interested in renting this, just to see if someone has finally figured out the proper formula for creating an off-roading game.

Three words- Land Rover Defender. Remember, the Defender is sold everywhere else except North America.

Am I the only one who thinks this is going to be one of those crappy $25 games that sits on the shelf next to Big Game Hunter IX?
Apart from that, thank you, General Motors, for perpetuating the misconception that offroading is heaving vehicles tearing through unpaved terrain at high speed...in a "HUMMER battle" no less.

Sorry man, no way in hell you get 26mpg in a Hummer. Unless that is while going downhill or you've stuck a diesel in it.

There is supposed to be a way to unlock the H4 - which is an Aveo with a 6" lift kit.
