Gaywheels.com to make use of Edmunds vehicle data
Just as automotive companies have specialized many of their vehicles to fill niche segments like microcars, coupes
and convertibles for DINKs (dual-income, no kids), resources for prospective buyers has branched out as well.Gaywheels.com, whose article on BMW and marketing graced Autoblog recently, has announced a partnership with Edmunds.com, one of the largest online resources of consumer automotive information. Gaywheels, which already provides reviews on vehicles as well as guidance on vehicle financing and insurance, has announced that it will combine Edmunds' in-depth data to give its clientele the most comprehensive resource possible.

I wonder if Subaru will be on the top of the list for lesbians, or if that would be *too* obvious?

Uhh, I didn't know that somehow the buying or researching of a vehicle was different for gay people as opposed to straight people. Who knew all this time that I was visiting "straight" auto websites? I feel so closed-minded!

Getting off-subject for a second, it's pretty sad how many people here associate homosexuality with child molesting.
Getting back on-subject... I have to agree with #3. How does being gay have any affect whatsoever on the process of buying a car?

This reminds me of those periodic articles on topics like Personal Finance for African Americans. As if they need more (or less) savings than whites or Asians.
A Subaru performs just the same for a homo as a hetero. Costs just as much, too.
The only exception, perhaps, is to provide information on automakers who do not offer same-sex benefits or are somehow especially friendly or unfriendly to homosexuals. Otherwise...what's the point?

Hmmm they say that Minis not a "gay-friendly" (lol) company, yet they have one in their logo.
Pfft, gay people...

Yeah, what is sad is the 11 children on our street, and two in our family, that were molested by the gay couple next door. ..your rhetoric in no way counters what happened on our street. Homosexuality is not only a sickness, but is sickening.

I just wish they had some sort of website that would show what the best car would be for us with Scottish ancestory. Or people who are sexually attracted to Blondes. It's just not fair we live in such a close minded socity.

in my experience
1. gays are disporportinately interested in automobiles campared to straights
2. gays need a place to feel comfortable - straight america is a dangeruous place to be gay, and frequently insulting, IE Dodge commercial that says "not for sissies" Which is disapointing because (collector car) gays tend to be more Mopar oriented
3. were talking about a sight targeted to a particular group, if there was one targeted towards Christians - would there be the same critisizm?
4. The upside is those criticizing a gay fucused sight seem to belive there is no difference between gay and straight, which is true, but there are differences in the way society treats gays and straights - it has in effect created a gay culture.
5. Gay people make the same good and poor choices about cars that straight people do - any sight to educate the buyer is welcome in my book

Will,
Before you assume that all gay men don't want to get dirt under our (perfectly manicured) fingernails, check out the following:

This is just two of many GLBT car clubs across the USA. I was a Great Autos of Yesteryear member (G.A.Y, get it?) a number of years ago, but their primary focus on '50s and '60s Detroit iron wasn't really my cup of 20W50, so I dropped my membership, but I still admire the hard work that went in to many of the members' collections.
