Fans of BMW's new Z4 Coupe are in luck -- the first Z4 and M Coupes rolled off the line at BMW's plant in Spartanburg, S.C. Tuesday, just in time for summer sales drives. Both vehicles get their power from BMW's sonorous 3.2L inline six, though the M model provides a bonus 115 horsepower over the base model's 255 hp (for a total of 370) and a 0-60 time of under 5 seconds.

I live 50 miles from the BMW plant. I saw a Z4 coupe going down street in Hendersonville NC Wendesday afternoon. It really looked good.

      Part right and part wrong.

It is a 115hp increase over the standard models, which have the base 3.0L 215hp engine (not the double vanos 255hp). So, thats 330hp.

      5years??? That's too long.
      I love this coupe!! Woot!
Looks like I'll be crossgrading(upgrading) my 325Ci in about a year or so...
I agree with a previous poster, I lloved the matte finish on the show car...Too bad that will never see production.

Stunning design, bold and agressive. Not a thing out of place. This is a car that coupe dreams are made of.

If that press release is correct, I would love to know how they got 370 HP from a NA 3.2. 10,000 rpm redline maybe?

This looks amazing, and with the roof fitted should offer even better road-holding than the Z4 roadster. I think the Z4M coupe has got to be one of my favourite would-be cars of almost any price bracket, for day-to-day driving I don't think I need much more, I just hope they release the matt paint that was on the showcar.

I've never been a fan of BMWs shape for small coupes and roadsters, with their overly long noses. I much prefer the sleek, proportioned lines of coupes such as the G35, new civic coupe, MB CLS, and BMWs own 6 series.

everyone who "corrected" the autoblog staff owes them an appoloigy. it is 370 it is a slightly detuned version of the 3.2 in the m3 csl which was itself a version of the m3 motor. before you go telling others to check their facts make sure your not making a fool out of yourself

Feeling like the only child who just had the new baby brought into the house. Maybe when it grows up it can be an M Coupe, but for now it is "binkie."
