Crazy Enzo crash guy loses another whip
Stefan Eriksson has lost yet another
supercar in his dwindling collection of elite automobiles. The first we all recall was his Ferrari Enzo that disintegrated upon impact
with a telephone phone on the Pacific Coast Highway. This time his wife is responsible for the loss, as she was pulled
over in Beverly Hills driving the family McLaren SLR without a valid driver’s license while the car was still
sporting British plates. Beverly Hills’ finest promptly impounded the Mercedes. 13-year-old Spyder Dobrofsky was on the scene during the incident and snapped this pic so we could all share in Mrs. Eriksson’s finest hour. It’s good to know that megalomania runs in the family.

Unless the Erikssons were related before they got married, this isn't a case of megalomania running in the family.

I can't decide whether Spyder Dobrofsky is the coolest name ever or a really cruel parental trick. Either way, though, kudos to the kid for getting his shot in the LA Times and all over the Internet.

I don't understand why he kept the British plates on it. He could have just driven around without plates and the cops wouldn't have looked twice. Or he could have put dealer plates on it, with the same result. I drove around for a year with the dealer plates on, waiting for new plates from the DMV. I finally called the dealer to ask if they'd sent them to him by mistake, only to be told that the plates were on the car all along, just hidden under the dealer insterts. Which I agree, does make me a dumbass, but not in this guy's class.

Why are all the blogs lately on this site a few days to a week old?

Tsk Tsk. First the Enzo, now the McLaren. Must be nice to that kind of cash to throw around.
Here is a link to a good article about top 10 "Crash & Burn" cars, and both of Fat Steffy's recent losses made the list: CarTV's Top 10 Crash and Burn Cars.
Any guesses on which of his cars goes next?
James

I destroyed an injected '58 'vette, and a '66 GTO ragtop tripower 4-speed back in the day. I feel much better now. ( Yea, right.)

I think we just solved the question on who was racing the enzo. The police said it was a benz, so it would only make sense that he was racing his wife before he crashed the enzo.

Hey, Paul: I know you're out there somewhere...aren't you going to blame GM, domestic U.S. automakers or American Engineers for this? You're losing your touch!

Yes, well obviously if GM could make a supercharged 5,439-cc 24-valve 90V-8 engine giving out 617 hp, and drop it into a carbon fiber coupe with scissor-opening doors, then maybe the Fat Sweed's wife wouldn't have to resort to illegally importing her cars from Europe, would she?

Makes you wish there was a test to pass before you got nice rides.:-)

Yup, and if you failed the test you'd have to give your super car to someone who had passed it but didn't have enough money to buy one :D

Screw the Merc, check out the BMW 2002 in the back ground (only one of BMW's best cars). Okay true it isn't a 600 hp monster, but still a very fine ride even in today's technologically superior arena.

You think this is bad. Take a look at our man in UK. Prince Naseem Ahmed boxer. He was a genious when fighting. Now he smashed his Mclaren Mercedes car.

He ran away also while on the scene but apparently it was not true. the media loves to lie.
