Laboratori Bebi's Quercianella
New Swedish carmaker Laboratori Bebi isn't pulling any punches as it attempts to enter the supercar world. Its Quercianella, named so for legendary designer and Quercianella contributor Giotto Bizzarrini, has a 2.4L V8 according to a post on Inside Line's blog, which is capable of launching the vehicle from 0-60 in about 3 seconds thanks to its weight of 1147 lbs. We're thinking that's either a typo or some info is missing, like what kind of forced induction is feeding that tiny air pump. Top speed is 300 km/h, or about 186 mph for us Yankees.
Give us a car like that and we'll be your Laboratori Bebies too.

Wow! Looks more Italian than Swedish - but a European Ford GT if there ever was. Very cool.

2.4l v8 is it me or is that crazy tiny? I mean why not just use a in line 4 or 5 at that point.

It's probably two bike engines put together to make a v8. Small in size, light weight and crazy revs and a lot of power.

Franke sounds right on. For example, the infamous Hayabusa makes 175 hp from 1.3 liters. Put two of its heads on a little V8, and yes, 380 hp at 10,500 RPM (the lower figure Edmunds reports) sounds about right. The higher figure of 525 sounds rather optimistic for a naturally aspirated motor. As for why not a four - it appears that tiny engines rev better with more cylinders.

yeah i was going to say...i think F1 engines are 2.4L V8. The difference being the 19,000 rpm redline.

Very nice. The engine size is either a typo (there are a lot of 4.2l V8s), or it is indeed two bike-engines in one. Radical uses a turbocharged Hayabusa engine, so the higher figure might come from turbocharging.

380 hp at 10,500 RPM = 190 ft-lb. That's rather high for 2.4L. 330 hp would be more realistic if you have the right heads to maintain a flat torque curve.

This car seem a bit shady. When doing a search for Swedish webpages about this car on Google nothing is found. Sweden is such an Internet savvy nation it seems strange there would be nothing out there.

yes 2.4 liter V-8, 19,000 rpm, 750 hp and a life expectancy of maybe 250 race miles.
