Poll: Best brand tagline?
This poll is inspired by an article on
Autoweek’s website about the best and worst taglines ever. According to the article the most memorable taglines
are those included in our poll below. After discovering that Ford’s been using its “Built Ford Tough” tagline for an amazing 27 years it becomes crystal clear that a great tagline goes a long way. Which of these taglines do you think has done the most for its respective brand?
If we missed any of your favorites that you think should be recognized include them in the comments.

That lame 'Zoom Zoom' slogan by Mazda is awful - I will never buy one of their cars as long as I live for inflicting their mind-rottingly twee crap adverts on us.

How could you have possibly forgotten this one?
"Porsche. There is no substitute."
Best there is, IMO.

It's not "Driver's" Wanted.
"Drivers Wanted."

I see that Autoblog is continuing is campaign to rewrite the rules of grammar. In this new system, the possessive form of "it" is typically "it's". Now they've decided that the plural form of "driver" is "driver's".

I think the award has to go to Mazda's "Zoom zoom". Always get that song stuck in your head.

Gotta go with "Like a Rock" although I, nor anyone in my family, has ever owned a Chevy but the mere fact that in the late 80's and early 90's you could hear Bob Seger in the background of those commercials....i still remember them today "I was strong as I could be....Like a rock" I will never forget that tag line as long as I live...and who knows, I might actually buy a chevy one day...maybe
Rock on Bob and Rock on Chevy!

For best incomplete slogan my vote is for "Ford - Quality is Job One".
For best complete slogan add "...And Recall Is Job Two."

Vorsprung Durch Technik for me, too. Not so much because it's great, it's just the way Audi employs it in their advertising.
I can forget about the above quite easily, apart from "The Ultimate Driving Machine". "Drivers Wanted" sounds more like a cry of desperation on the part of VW.

I agree that Volvo For Life is probably the best current one. I liked Hyundai's old Driving Is Believing tagline but it's been replaced with Win and then with Drive Your Way which I find less appealing.
