Next Ford Mondeo inspired by Iosis

World Car Fans has produced this computer generated image of the next Ford Mondeo based on spy shots of the vehicle it has obtained. It’s clear looking through the heavy camo of the spy shots that the next Mondeo will have an Iosis-inspired face. Whether or not the rest of the Mondeo will look as good as this artist’s interpretation remains to be seen. The new Mondeo will launch in 2007 and be built on the same platform as the new S-Max while riding on the same suspension as the latest Ford Focus.

Lexus might have a fit, but I sure hope this guess is close to the real thing. If so, Hey Mercury! Drop the Milan and bring this over to add some spice and distinction to your brand. Yes, you can change the slats to verticle in the grille if you absolutely have to.

Can't believe this is a Ford! Why can they design car like this in the States. First look at it, I thought it looks like the new Lexus LS (Front head lights/light).

how come all we get here are big sedans with with 4ft high fenders (see chrysler300/magnum/charger etc)? having sat in one of those, and in the new 'stang i have trouble seeing over the hood (with the seat as high asitll go). i drive a 91 camry now, and its got a hip high or lower hood level (and trunk level). it cant be aerodynamic to have such a high flat fronted grille, etc...
give me the low noses of the euro cars, like the euro accord (we call it the acura tsx) and this mondeo... just looks more sporty.
im not fond of a car the looks like it has to plow through the wind, though cutting through it sounds good

is that car not coming to USA like the former
mondeo? Or do we just get the Fusion?

we get the Fusion... I think the Mondeo was in the U.S. before under the name "Contour". Either way, I wonder what Europeans think about the cars when they come to the U.S.

Now why is this car not already in production? It sure looks of a hell lot better than any other four door in Ford's lineup.

And more cars that look great that we can't get here in the US, made by US companies. This is just getting stupid.

I hope the real car looks as good as this photo, it reminds me of the G6 concept Pontiac made, which looked nothing like the real G6.

Looks good, sort of reminds me of the current Infinities.

Next Mazda6? The front fenders and headlights remind me of the CX-7. I'd buy one!!!!

If it's not coming here
I'm going over there to get it.

Hey didn't you say that James bond was going to drive a Mondeo a few days back. This version would be pretty slick. It even has a slightly Aston-esque window line with a hofmiester kick. Bond would drive it.

To go with my last post. Now that I think about it, the Mazda3 (My current car... love it!) is the euro Focus. Maybe Mazda USA can be the Europe Ford of America...

You guys always say, "Why don't they offer it here? If they did I'd buy it." Then every once in a while they do offer it here--Merkur, Contour, GTO--and no one buys it.
I don't think they'll fall for it again. Though I've been asking for an S-Max anyway.

Wha? But...? Why...?
I give up. WHY can't they have this stuff here? Quit giving us tired watered down designs and use your own freakin' resources! (Although the Contour was a real stinker)

The contour was hardly sexy, and even that 'world' car was better in Europe. This shows much more potential. This (future) car may be better news for Volvo, Mazda, et. al., at least stateside, until Ford restructures their design/marketing departments here.

#6: me (being European) loves the Fusion most of all US-cars, and I'd like to see it here
