Being America's most popular shrink apparently doesn't mean you're immune to youthful indiscretions. Just ask Dr. Phil McGraw, who has partnered with auction-house Barrett-Jackson to clear his conscience-- and his garage, of two supercars.
The outspoken doc’s 2002 Ferrari 360 Spider and 2001 Gemballa Porsche 911 Turbo strike us as remarkably indulgent whips for a someone who comes off as pretty buttoned-up, but then again, perhaps that’s why he’s selling them. Regardless of rationale, the pair are set to go under the hammer at Barrett-Jackson's fourth-annual Collector Car event beginning March 30 in Palm Beach, Florida.

I'd buy one, if included in the purchase was a coupon that allowed you to run Dr. Phil over with the car.
Frank Ellyson @ Mar 3rd 2006 9:35AM
Dr. Phil should remember where he came from and not to try to become what he isn't. He should unload his $5 million dollar home and be realistic to who he really is.
Richard Warren @ Mar 3rd 2006 10:08AM
He wouldn't be able to buy all that shit if we didn't buy his shit. We made this creep. I have an addiction too, wanting to beat the living crap out of this fool every morning when he's on the news telling us all how to run our lives.
If ya haven't guessed I agree with #1
Hemidakota @ Mar 3rd 2006 10:26AM
LOL...one thing when I hear his name mentioned- Hyprocrite.
As always, what is life without media attention Dr. Phil?
Jeffrey Price @ Mar 3rd 2006 10:38AM
Who gives a damn about Dr.Phil? People in this country are far too impressionable about television. Example: Look at the crowd on the Today show in the morning sometime on NBC. Whats the big deal about being on television? It is not really a big deal. They call it the "idiot box" for a reason.
xiLLeNtz @ Mar 3rd 2006 10:45AM
mm anyone want to buy me that 911 turbo?
Dustin Tarditi @ Mar 3rd 2006 10:46AM
I'm sure his selling off of these wonderful cars has nothing to do with America starting to get tired of him...
Tony Rizzo @ Mar 3rd 2006 11:03AM
This man was given birth by Oprah. He offers no better adivce then a good friend or a caring parent. He's
another tool of the media to lead the weak of this
country into another path. Love, honor, repect. Thats
my personal doctor.
Can't hear you! @ Mar 3rd 2006 11:30AM
Further proof he is a RETARDO IDIOT! He looks like one, acts like one, must be one.
bob griffith @ Mar 3rd 2006 11:31AM
Sure is a lot of crying over Dr. Phil! Whats the problem? All you have is those persons crying who don't have what Dr. Phil has and they never will because they act the way they do. Its is a case of the Haves and "Have-Nots". Grow Up!
gigi @ Mar 3rd 2006 11:55AM
Without Oprah Winfrey, who bought into your "act", you'd still be a struggling advice giver. I never liked you; YO are SO full of yourself and thinks you have "all" the answers. Frankly Dr. Phil you just bug me and I do NOT like you. You are arrogent and you obviously sit for hours and come up with all these quirky and "clever" phrases/come backs for the people you are supposedly helping and who are so pathetic that they actually go to "YOU" for help. If someone wants help, all they have to do is seek it out. You are NO miracle worker. Your cars are typical of your personality: PHONY.
Jason @ Mar 3rd 2006 12:19PM
Yeah, if Dr. Phil was poor his bullshit advice would not be annoying at all.
Oh, wait, I was sarcastic again. Damn, gotta work on that.
RossL @ Mar 3rd 2006 12:38PM
Calm down, guys. We may not think much of him, but Dr. Phil is one heck of a smart businessman. He's made a ton of money by recycling other people's material and packaging it in a way that appeals to the lowest common denominator.
In other words, he's a lot like Bill Gates. And while I may not think much of Microsoft's products, I do respect BG's brilliance as a marketer. Ditto Dr. Phil.
Edsel @ Mar 3rd 2006 12:46PM
God bless Dr. Phil for he's proof of the one axiom that P.T. Barnum has become famous for; "There is a silver lining in every crowd."
I hope Dr. Phil is laughing all the way to his bank but he must remember though how P.T .Barnum ended his life - penniless.
Scott @ Mar 3rd 2006 12:54PM
Is it just me, or do *both* of those cars have license plates that read "DR PHIL"? California requires front license plates, doesn't it? I wonder if these are bogus just for the photo, or if he's...*shudder* "breakin' the law"! :D
The fact that he can afford to buy (at least) two cars like that just goes to show how sheeplike the public is, to fork over so much $$$ to this guy.
Scott @ Mar 3rd 2006 1:07PM
I agree why do you hate him for what he has. I thought the one that said he needs to remember where he came from, Umm that would be Highlaand Park Dallas one of the richest communities in Tx.
bernie @ Mar 3rd 2006 1:24PM
I'm struck that Dr. Phil is so ashamed of his addiction he took time to pose with the supercars.
America - the land of buffoons
Edsel @ Mar 3rd 2006 1:51PM
Which "America" is the land of buffoons, bernie? (#16)
North, Central, or South America? Perhaps you didn't know that "America" is not a country.
Ford Mustang @ Mar 3rd 2006 1:52PM
Oh god i hate this guy, oh and i hate dr phil too.
Presto @ Mar 3rd 2006 2:08PM
He's selling his cars so he has something to talk about during his next show, which in turn, will make him enough money to buy twice as cars next time around. Maybe the 2002 Ferarri and 2001 Porsche are getting too old for him. PR stunt? Anyone?
