Ferrari driving school opens in North America
And
by 'North America' we mean Canada.
Admittedly, word of this new Ferrari Driving Experience
broke days ago, but apparently a bad case of daydreaming over the prospects found us asleep at the wheel on the
story. At any rate, the Experience is a two-day training session at the Mont Tremblant track, with the drivers
spending the night at the Quintessence Hotel. Training is done in F430s (pictured). Cost is $8,200 and looks like
it’s limited to fifteen drivers at any one time. Techniques taught by the instructors include threshold braking,
controlling acceleration, and "discovering the limits of adhesion" in various conditions. Though there are
classes, most of the two days are spent on the track.
More information, including website addresses, can be

$8200?!?!? Yikes, for less than half that cost, I'd rather go to Panoz or Skip Barber.

For that price, I could rent one for the weekend. Sure, I wouldn't learn about the limits of adhesion, but I'd pick up chicks.

Yes, $8,200 is a lot of money, but it's probably a good investment for an inexperienced driver who just bought his first Ferrari. Remember what happened to that Enzo driver last week in L.A.? Maybe he could have benefited from this course. :)

The Mount Tremblant track is a beautiful one and there are quite a few Ferrari owners in Eastern Canada and the northeastern U.S., so it's not a bad location.
The Ferrari Club of Quebec is a very active one. The members put their cars on display in downtown Montreal during the week of the Canadian F1 Grand Prix:

Go to Barber or Bondurant for less and learn how to drive anything fast. Then again, if you have to ask how much the school costs you probably can't afford a Ferrari!
Regular AutoBlog readers will be happy to know that Stefan Eriksson will be the first student in the school. LOL

Looks like this driving school came just a little too late for the guy that crashed his Enzo in Malibu last tuesday.

Thanks for the Heads up Bernie... I will try to avoid the first session...
Wrecking a Ferarri and not having to pay for it sounds pretty good. I do hope insurance is included.
