This next item doesn't really qualify as auto enthusiast news, but as we know a lot of folks in the industry read Autoblog, we thought we'd share the following personel movements:

Mark McNabb is the next in the string of execs deciding not to make the move with Nissan to Tennessee, but he won't be staying in Cali either. Starting Monday, McNabb will be vice president of marketing for Mercedes-Benz USA, reporting directly to CEO Paul Halata.

After the resignation of General Motors North American CFO Mary Boland on Wednesday, the company has announced that her replacement will be Mark Newman, formerly assistant treasurer.

I think the comment on Mark McNabb is incorrect. McNabb didn't decide not to move from LA to Tennesee... he was assigned to Tokyo and made the move to Mercedes-Benz from Nissan Tokyo headquarters.

So, 1)McNabb went from one premium brand - Infiniti, to another, and 2) he's going from Tokyo to New Jersey.
