Bravo Noah!
I suggest you try one first, I bet ya your map doesn't have the POI's that Navs have. That is Point of Interest for you (a database of hotels, restaurants, gas stations, etc.) They even include phone numbers, aside from the location. in case you want to pre-order a to-go.
You can forget my suggestion and stick with your maps. But I bet you'll eat your words in five years time. Navs are here to stay.
