The A1 Grand Prix of Nations in Durban, South Africa reopened the A1GP season after its mid-winter hiatus, and provided exciting racing on the streets of the seaside city.

While Team France continued its winning ways in Saturday's sprint race, it was Team Netherlands (pictured above) who provided the excitement in Sunday's feature race. Driven by Formula 1 alumnus Jos Verstappen, the orange Netherlands entry started the feature 16th on the grid, after a crash late in the sprint race cost the team what looked like a front-row spot. But Verstappen put in a brilliant performance on the first lap, moving all the way up to 8th. Steadily moving up through the field, Verstappen was right on the gearbox of leader Neel Jani (Switzerland) in the closing laps, and a last-lap pass brought Team Netherlands the victory.

Jani finished second for Switzerland, and Portugal's Alvaro Parente gained the last podium spot.

Despite their 8th place finish in the feature, Team France remains on top of the series standings heading to the next race in Indonesia.

North American TV coverage of the Durban race can be seen on Outdoor Life Network this coming weekend.
