Nissan to shift commercial trucks in North America
Nissan's renaissance and growth won't
be restricted to passenger cars and trucks-- effective February 1, it's going full-on commercial.
The creation of Nissan's North America Light Commercial Vehicle and Fleet Division is an effort to realize one of the four 'breakthrough areas'-- commercial trucks, pinpointed by 'Executive of the Moment' Carlos Ghosn, Nissan's President and CEO.
As with their full-size Titan pickup, Nissan isn't entering the segment with timidity-- North American ops are slated to run the gamut and include virtually every facet of sales and production, from styling and engineering to production, distribution, sales, financing and service. The company has designs on selling 434,000 light commercial vehicles globally in fiscal 2007, with an attendant 8-percent profit.

I don't think Nissan is going to bring over a NA version of the EU Master. Keep in mind that the sales growth is global. They are looking for an additional 100,000 units over the next couple of years. Anybody know anything about the agreement with Renault truck to rebadge Cabstars?

There are plenty of sites out there to look for commercial trucks, but i do believe that findcommercialtrucks.com is by far the best out of any. If you or anyone you know is searching for a commercial truck of any kind check the site out.

The Nissan van on the picture is a Renault/Opel clone sold in Europe. These two far outsell the Nissan. I am sure Nissan/Renault is trying to send some of their Euro output over here and or follow DCX Dodge/MB Sprinter example.
