Plastic biodiesel?
The West Central Cooperative in
Ralston, Iowa, and General Atomics in San Diego, California, have received a $3.3 million grant from the federal
government to find out if biodiesel processing can dissolve the plastic waste produced by U.S. forces in Iraq. Called "The Battlefield Plastic Biodiesel" project, the three year research project would dispose of the plastic in the war-torn country while simultaneously providing fuel for diesel-powered vehicles in the area.

What opportunistic terminology thiefs. I don't think there's anything "bio" about petrochemicals or plastics. Plastic used to be oil. All they're going to do it try and produce liquid hydrocarbons from solid ones. good luck.

There is no luck needed. The technique used to convert plastic back to oil is called thermal depolymerization.
