Ford builds four millionth Focus in Europe
Recently the four millionth European Ford Focus was produced. The milestone car was a Colorado red, TDCi Focus four-door produced at Ford’s assembly plant in Valencia, Spain.
Worldwide the Focus has sold more than five million units, with 442,000 being bought in Europe alone last year. Of course, the European version of the Focus is built on the same C1 platform that underpins the lauded Mazda3 and Volvo S40 in North America. Perhaps if Ford were already producing the Focus on the C1 platform in the U.S. it would have higher sales numbers to celebrate here, as well. Alas...
