Volkswagen seems to have discovered the black art of podcasting and is leveraging the hip new media to its favor during the North American International Auto Show in Detroit this week.
The company has created a number of podcasts that showcase its new 2006 and 2007 vehicles, specifically the sporty GTI hatchback. There are also interviews with VW execs like the indefatigable Wolfgang Bernhard and VW experts like Jamie VonDruska, lead editor of our fave VW enthusiast’s site, VW Vortex. Volkswagen has also included podcasts featuring various local Detroit musicians, although both Eminem and Kid Rock are conspicuously absent from the playlist.
