VIDEO: Building the Camaro Concept
Along with the pics GM released of the Camaro Concept being built (probably at the 11th hour before the Detroit auto show), we also found some video of the car that chronicles it through various parts of the design process.
Considering Chris’s previous post about the Camaro Concept being sent back to the drawing board by Rick Wagoner right before the show, we wonder if we’ll ever get to see the design that was thrown on the drawing room floor. I’m sure there’s a team of designers out who wish their aborted design could see the light of day, but we doubt it ever will.

I noticed a few full sized Mustangs in the background at the design studio. Competition is a good thing, isn't it?

The Concept Camaro looks fantastic. I'm glad to see that American sports cars haven't strayed from the "american musclular" look, which to me is so important. Its the heritage that counts and what keeps cars like the concept camaro, concept challenger etc remain within the culture of american design. The only thing I would like to see in the american sports car/GT, is consistant improvement in track performance development. Lets hope manufacturers follow in the Corvette's slipstream of the "American Sports Car".

Dude, i understand evne is enetitled to their own opinion, but give credit where credit is due. It's no where near a copy of the Mustang, and there is one mustang,in the backround (unless i missed them?) so just relax and enjoy some FRIENDLY competition

This Camero style has more characters than the Challeger and Mustang. In fact, Mustang isn't qualified to be judged with the Camero. Ford must have their head in the sand when they designed the replica of the orginal, just like they did with the T-Bird. It is plain and soooo ugly. The last version Mustang is much more appealling than new one.
We need more designs like the Camero to counter strike onslaughter from Japan and Europe.
As usual, an excellent concept ends up just as the current production Mustang from the big 3.
