All UAW shops are inherantly inefficient. It's the passive-aggressive DNA of the union that makes the shops this way. If you want to be a hard worker you're brow beaten by union thugs into "not making everybody else look bad," so efficiency improvements can only go so far in a union shop. The UAW also insists on having three people do the job of two (more dues) and resisting automation at every turn. The best plants in the world are highly automated and non-union. Good luck Chrysler, maybe you can toss the UAW and get something done.
