Honda sweeps North American Car and Truck of the Year Awards

At the opening press conference of the North American International Auto Show, Honda Motor Company swept the North American Car and Truck Of The Year Awards with the Civic and Ridgeline. Chris and I were on the scene, capturing John Mendel, Honda of America's Senior Vice President as he accepted the award (photo). This marks the first time that one manufacturer has captured the award in both categories in the same year. It is also Honda's first victory in either category.
The 12th annual NACOTY and NATOTY awards were decided by 49 journalists from the United States and Canada who considered over 50 vehicles that were eligible this year. Honda beat out two other vehicles per category -- the Ford Fusion and the Pontiac Solstice in the car category, and the Nissan Xterra and Ford Explorer in the truck category.

This Honda Ridgeline is not a truck its a car with a bed on it. The 49 people that picked this as the #1 truck need to get another job.

GOOD JOB HONDA.... i feel bad for the american car companies but maybe they should start producing their "concept cars" to help boost sales, because their cars and trucks right now are old and out of date
