I have to say that this baby is real clean lookin. To the guy in the #4 comment. Hey I am a real big Chevy Fan, but this Challenger is way better lookin then the Concept Camaro. The only thing that makes the Camaro look good, is the gills from the 69 behind the door. Other than that, the roof is too low, the grill is too much like something off of a PT CRUISER, and it looks nothin like an old school. If chevy wants to sell that thing, they really have to go back to the late 60's and redo the whole thing again. I have always disliked the Mopar series other than the Challenger, and have been waiting for the new camaro but this Challenger looks way too good for Camaro, PERIOD

February 05 2006 at 9:52 AM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyWhy does the new Challenger weigh 4100 LBS. It seems
much heavier than the orignal cars of the 70's.
Keep the concept. build a reasonably priced "muscle caR" and I guarantee you all of us who lusted for the Challenger in the early 70's but were too young and broke to buy one will eat this one up like mad. Build it, and build it quickly!!!!
January 30 2006 at 11:25 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyI have a 70 challenger. It is lonely and needs a companion.Chrysler if you don't build this one too bad for you. Never forget form which you came......and the Aries K car is not your heritage
January 29 2006 at 12:08 PM Report abuse Permalink rate up rate down ReplyThis is one hell of a bad ass machine... Mean machine of the road... If they make this S.O.B. I will buy this thang and put rebel flag & General Lee word on the roof as well as 01 on the doors... Yee haw...
Hemi *426* - ITS MOPAR... Or No CAR...
"Floats like a butterfly and sure does sting like a bee!" - OUCH.
I do admit, it is a sweet looking car. The specs on it are great and I bet it would be fun to drive!
....but under 20MPG? The cost for Dodge/Chrysler to set up and produce a novelty car should not be on the company's priority list. Gas is not cheap, and the Big-3 are not doing to well in the auto market anymore. The writing is on the wall - if you produce the car, please do it in a limited edition. The HEMI nostalgia is just that; memories of the past. Give me a roomy stylish hybrid that gets anywhere above 40MPG and I think the company would be able to stay afloat. Lest we be remided of the late-70s. Look at Ford, the 'restructuring' is causing how many THOUSANDS of metro Detroiters to be unemployed?!
I hate to be a party-pooper, but we need to look at the bigger picture.
Please build this car like it is and you have a guaranteed winner. I will buy one with the 6.1 Hemi immediately. It will be a definite head-turner on the street, and look great sitting in the garage next to my 1970 AAR 'Cuda.
