Peugeot to launch 207 mini-car next week

Reuters is reporting that PSA Peugeot-Citroen will launch its new 207 model next week, as Peugeot Citroen step up new model launches in an attempt to revitalize sluggish European sales.

The cheerful-looking 207 will compete with the 2006 European Car of the Year, Renault's Clio, as well as the other B-segment contenders : the Fiat Punto, Ford Fiesta, VW Polo, Opel Corsa and Citroen C3. (Citroen's C3 and Peugeot's 207 are built on the same platform.)

The small hatchback will be available in two- and four-door models.
