From the Press Release of Few Words Department comes this chestnut: Russia's Ural Automobile Plant announced today that it will begin building heavy duty all-wheel-drive trucks in Vietnam and India in the first quarter of 2006. Ural builds a mixture of military and commercial vehicles.

The Vietnam assembly effort comes as part of a joint-venture with the nation's Defense Ministry, an arrangement reached in November. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Both the Indian and Vietnamese plants will have the capacity to build 1,000 units in both four and six-wheel drive configurations.
