Cars to be Seen In

Lucire, a New Zealand-published (but international) fashion magazine, has listed its pick of favorite cars for the sixth year. This theme is “Cars to be Seen in” (as in 2006): what vehicles make the driver and their passengers look great. 

The list includes:

• Jaguar XK8
• Honda Civic
• Citroën C6
• Peugeot 107
• Porsche Carrera 4
• Dacia Logan
• Renault Clio III
• Audi Q7

What’s more interesting is the “Honorable Mention” sidebar which includes such vehicles as the Mercedes-Benz R-class, Ford Mustang Convertible, and Ssangyong Rodius. The commentary is eye-opening, especially what they perceive as American views on the Mustang (“--which means it relies more on brutality than sophistication—“) and the Saab 9-2X (“Doesn’t fool the educated American buyer who wants a European car.”)
