Lexus whips out the big red bow in December and sells

We’re all familiar now with those yule-tide Lexus commercials that feature the luxury marque’s vehicles adorned with big red bows and being given away as gifts to the gleeful surprise of spouses and family members. It’s called the “December to Remember” campaign and this article from the NY Times details just how successful it has become. Of note in particular is that the ads are directly responsible for the month of December being the brand’s best sales month every year. And did you know that Lexus actually keeps a stockpile of those big red bows in a warehouse near its North American headquarters in Torrance, CA for customers planning to gift their vehicle purchase?
