New things in store for the HUMMER brand
Thanks to the
H3, HUMMER experienced a 93 percent increase in sales this year. The (relatively) small SUV packed such a big punch that
company execs are mulling expanding the brand.
Brand manager Susan Docherty says that, despite the rise in gas prices, there’s a heck of a lot of untapped potential in the brand, and HUMMER plans to move forward in coming out with new models. Any new models will fit the brand, of course — don’t expect any sports cars or minivans coming anytime soon, but watch out for vehicles with the performance and off-road capability HUMMER is known for, like a HUMMER H3 SUT

Considering how low the HUMMER H3's price actually is, this increase in overall-sales is well understandable.
Though I don't like the current line-up's angular styling too much, I have to say the SUT's styling looks pretty good. With the recent hike in gas-prices, it'll be interesting to see how GM manages to grow the HUMMER brand.

Diesel, Diesel, Diesel.
Make them more fuel efficient yet powerful.
Its already showing that the new smaller chassis and 5 cylinder engine are a tapping into sales big time, although the engine is just too wheezy.
Drop in a strong V6, straight 6, or a Turbo Diesel from say, Isuzu's medium duty truck line, and I think The H3 will sell like crazy.

gonna have to agree with #2... a diesel makes so much sense for both the H2 and H3 it is sort of ridiculous that they weren't a launch option on both.
the I5 was actually designed from the get-go to allow for forced induction as well... why they didn't turbo/super the I5 in the H3 is also a mystery to me.
