It seems like there isn’t a day here at Autoblog without an announcement or two regarding automotive
developments in China, and today is no different. Nissan
announced plans today to go upscale in the
exponentially-growing market, by introducing its resurgent Infiniti
division. According to Reuters, the company’s
premium division will launch with five to 10 dealers
by the end of calendar 2007, which is ahead of previous
announcements indicating there’d be a presence by March of 2008.
Sales targets and model mix have yet to be
determined, but 20 dealerships are planned by the dawn of 2010.
