DaimlerChrysler's Freightliner division has sold its U.S. maker of emergency vehicles, American LaFrance, to New York investment firm Patriarch Partners, LLC. The business is the fifth largest emergency vehicle maker in the United States, and no sales value has been released as of yet, but a DCX spokesperson called the deal low-margin and non-material. Patriarch will take over manufacturing and the corporate-owned dealer locations.
