Spy Shots: Porsche 911 Turbo
The new 997-based Porsche 911 Turbo has finally been caught completely naked of all camouflage in the wild. WorldCarFans reports that the next turbo will go on sale in the spring and be sporting a mighty 460 bhp/460 lb-ft of torque and a new four-wheel drive system that can direct power to individual wheels as needed. Pricing for the new 911 Turbo will be somewhere in the range north of $155,000US.

Cool, and lots of HP, but pricey!

Let's see, I could have one 911 Turbo or TWO new Skyline GT-Rs or a Skyline and a BMW M5. Hmmm... the Porsche is a wonderful car that I've had the pleasure of driving (2003 model), but they're awful proud of it to be charging $155K. The '03 model I drove was $117K and I thought that was little steep.

I'd imagine the power numbers will be higher, seeing as how they're reporting a, what, 20hp increase over the last Turbo? It'll be more...
But that variable geometry turbo is going to be sweeeeeeet!

Hmmm, a couple years ago the Turbo was $105K and 400 hp. That's a lot of extra dough for an extra 60 hp - around $1000 per pony. In that stratosphere I'll take the f430.

Nothing more beautiful than a high powered sports car in the snow!!
Always loved the 911 turbo, just too expensive... Amazing, from the same company that creates one of the worlds ugliest SUV.
