Ferdinand Alexander Porsche celebrates his seventieth birthday today. Though he headed his father's sport's car design studio between 1962 and through 1972, Ferdinand left the fold to establish his own studio where he designed such items as watches, pens, glasses and many industrial products. He is most well known, though, for his period at the compandy during which the Porsche 911 and 904 Carrera GTS were designed.

Mr. Porsche (Um… coolest last name ever???) retired this year from the supervisory board of Porsche.
