Ford pulls advertising after AFA objects

Ford logoJust as fast as the American Family Association (AFA) stopped boycotting Ford Motor Company for its support of gay groups and media (see here), the manufacturer has announced it will be pulling its advertisements from gay publications.

The news has spread across the press like a flame. Autoblog had reported the news earlier in the week. No specific information had been available at that time. Now the AFA is announcing its victory with its meeting with Ford while the company explains pulling the ads is part of its restructuring efforts to cut costs.

It'll be interesting to see the reaction of the other manufacturers, many of whom market to minority groups.
