More details of the new mid-sized sedan are emerging from earlier posts.

The Lotze, as it is called in South Korea, was released in its home market shortly after it debuted at the Frankfurt International Show. In Europe, where it is know as the Magentis, Kia is offering a diesel version for the first time. The sedan will then arrive in Australia in early 2006 before heading eastward to the U.S. to arrive some time mid-year (April?). Details of this version of the sedan are still sketchy (drat), but most likely the new Optima will be larger, well-equipped, and offer greater quality than its predecessor, especially since it will be competing against its parent company's own sedan, the new Sonata.

The Korean wave continues…
