Not that we've had our feelers out looking for the first review of the 2006 Kia Sedona minivan, but a few of you tipped us off that one has emerged on CanadianDriver.com. The reviewer critiques the minivan in terms of how well it serves as a multi-passenger commuter vehicle and concludes the Sedona is "Close to ideal."
The new Sedona waves the safety flag like every modern Hyundai/Kia with six airbags, four-wheel ABS and a back-up warning system. The new 3.8L V6 generates 244 hp and 253 lb-ft of torque, which the author thinks is "quite sufficient". The loaded Sedona EX with Luxury Package will top out at $31,154US, placing Kia's soccer wagon in a price point well below most of its competitors - familiar territory for this company's products.

The new Kia Sedona is significant since it will be the sister van to the upcoming Entourage, Hyundai's first foray into the North American minivan market.
