The Barrett-Jackson auction folks can make it happen for you! Ford will auction the right to purchase the first 2007 Ford Shelby GT500 coupe available to the public during the 35th annual Barrett-Jackson auction in January 2006. Carroll Shelby is scheduled to greet the winning bidder of the auction, and proceeds from the no-reserve sale will go to the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation.

Shelby's foundation was created in 1991 to provide assistance for acute coronary and kidney care for young people. Shelby is the oldest and longest living double organ recipient, receiving a heart in 1990 and a kidney from his son Mike in 1996.

A great car, and a great cause. And you'll go nation-wide on SPEED Channel!
