Pirelli is taking a page out of BMW's book and is conducting some covert advertising with The Call, an Antoine Fuqua-directed short film. The teaser depicts some artistic shots of candles and an antique Bible, and the voiceover predicts some clash between good and evil. Not sure what that has to do with tires, but I'm sure we'll find out.
Don't want to be too critical of the teaser because, after all, it is just a teaser, but the heavy Biblical references are a bit melodramatic for a roundabout tire commercial, and the choppy rendition of "Dies irae" from Verdi's Requiem sends the brain into uncontrollable flashbacks of the mediocre Quidditch World Cup video game, which borrowed the same piece for its own soundtrack. John Malkovich and Naomi Campbell should breathe some credibility into the project, however, and Training Day director Fuqua will no doubt make the film worth watching.

Check for the release in March.
