Dodge Nitro will be built in Toledo
It wasn't much of a secret, but now it's official — the Dodge Nitro will be built alongside
the Jeep Liberty at DaimlerChrysler's plant in Toledo.
The vehicle, the production version of which was announced last October, is pushing Chrysler to add a third line to the Liberty's shift to accommodate the extra production. It's the first vehicle other than a Jeep to be produced in Toledo since the Dodge Dakota's production there was halted in 1995.
The Chicago Auto Show will be home to the production launch of the vehicle.

Whoopie! Another big, gas-guzzling box so retards can crowd the roads.
Let's all jump for joy!

It's not a large SUV - it's small. I'm pretty sure that customers who might buy one of these are already "crowding" the roads in some other car. Get off your high horse and ride a bicycle.....

What's often overlooked in media coverage of the Patriot and the Compass from Jeep is that the Patriot is clearly the Jeep version of the Nitro, both slightly longer than the Liberty. Many outlets are saying that the Patriot will be built off the Caliber platform along with the Compass, but I think they've got it wrong.
